Following a capital raising of $8.8 million in May 2002 the Trust acquired 11 childcare centres and related freehold property. During 2006 the Trust entered into agreements to sell all to the CPT-2 childcare businesses to a subsidiary of Ramsay Bourne Holdings Pty Ltd (RBH). Each childcare business will settle upon the expiry of the current management leases in July 2007. The agreement with RBH also covers the sale of the freehold properties which from July 2007 will be leased to RBH on a fixed rental basis. These properties, which are covered by put and call options, will settle no later than 6 months after the sale of the childcare businesses that is, no later than January 2008. In that period the Trust will receive rental income from RBH. The Trust was wound up effective 30 June 2008 at which time the final distribution was paid to unitholders.
