The Trust was constituted in 1996.
The Trust is an unlisted property trust established to invest directly and indirectly in the development, holding and management of real property in the tourism and leisure sector and in enterprises carrying on business in the tourism and leisure sector.
The Trust's investment is a 55% interest in Regent Place Hotel Trust constituted to construct and lease a hotel in Melbourne known as The Westin Melbourne Hotel. Construction of the hotel commenced during 1997/98 and was completed in March 2000.
The hotel is leased to RPHT Operations Pty Ltd which has entered into a management contract with Starwood Hotels and Resorts to manage the hotel on behalf of RPHT Operations Pty Ltd.
